I feel like we don’t talk about millennials in particular, hitting our 40s - in earlier generations many of us would be reaching the peak of our careers, but because of disaster after disaster, locust after locust eating our industries, many of us are on our 3rd or 4th fresh start.

The most fun I've had in a while was working through this album of medieval manuscript facsimiles begun by St John Hornby, and then taken over by J.R. Abbey. In it they pasted in facsimiles of manuscripts they had bought or desired, annotating them with their success and failures in acquiring them.
