back in 2015 i had this windows 8 tablet (x86) that only had one microusb port, but i wanted to of course be able to use a keyboard+mouse AND charge at the same time while gaming i tested random shit until i came up with this contraption that actually worked somehow????

a mutilated charging brick lays on a table - it has a usb female connector poking out, a switch on the top, and the two mains prongs have been replaced with two usb cables

steps listed:
1. plug this usb cable into a 5V2A charger
2. plug a microusb cable connected to the tablet into here
3. once charging starts, flip this switch
4. plug this miniusb cable into a usb hub

Call me naïve, but I think the Web should be making it *easier* to create accessible UIs than inaccessible ones. Instead, once you go beyond the basic primitives, the platform is a minefield: the obvious thing to do is rarely accessible, and devs must jump through hoops to make it so.
