Technically artwork 4 on vacation, but only the second completed so… here it is! Feels nice to draw with no expectations, just… enjoyment

Took a week off last week to recover some energy, I was feeling burnout coming quick. Doing better now, good enough to draw

Glue work is overhead. Much like operational labor, it does not add or create value, it ensures that value creation efforts land and can have an impact on quality. Good glue work is therefore relentlessly efficient. Do as much as you have to, no more. Resist its tendency to sprawl and multiply.

Yours has a vase? Aww nice. The two kits I got my wife had nothing to hold them up so I was kinda disappointed

A lot of people in tech hate on user research and UX design because it is the "what the fuck are you doing" function.

A sad person smiles. Another person labeled "data" leans in and says "no." The person is sad again.

LLMs are the ultimate capitalist technology, part n: negative externality edition. Increase your productivity by instantly generating something you can pass off as "done" - and screw the people downstream who are going to use your outputs as their inputs.

I still play Arkham horror wrong, cause I taught it to my kids one way and refuse to admit I was wrong to them ever

If you're wondering if your new games aren't as good as your old games, ask the people who made your old games about it. If you've fired them all, you've found your problem.

I was asked to be a interviewee for "The Blood on our Controllers", a documentary about Palestine & their dehumanization in games by @hippolyte.bsky.social. It's out now. There are parts where I don't quite keep it together, and it is hard to watch myself struggle. Proud to have spoken up, though.

Just returned from a Mexican vacation! Much needed R&R (my first destination trip since the pandemic). Spent most of the time on the beach, but spent a little time drawing. Out of practice (cause my free time is nil if I’m not on vacation) but enjoyed the process!

I think you’d infinitely approach a sphere, but end up having so many corners to cut that “cut corners” ends up being the main task!

Fingers crossed that they take the good stuff (like games as a service Liveops advice) and ignore the bad stuff (like calling the design team the design minions) 😇

Super weird to me the number of parents who come to fencing practice just to stand around and watch. Maybe 30 kids tonight and only 3 parents who’be joined the club. There’s not even benches or seats!
