And I do believe this applies to many context, from any set of raw data you can find about anything to company internal (or external to some extend) communication. If a tool gives you a measurement of, let say, "air quality", you need to know how it measures things to understand what is "quality".

It's easy to see the concept of transparency as simple, or neutral. It is just not. Transparency requires effort and attention. Providing information impose giving the context to be able to read/listen/digest that information. Without that, transparency is fallacy, leading to confusion & even chaos
