You're awesome for this, hun. I love Alan Wake 1 and 2, and I love Control and Control Resonant. I really love how these games can show how fun "pure art" can be, these are artsy fartsy games with a lot of style and fun. And I appreciate them for being over the top!

I really fought the desire to monochrome color this. It's still technically "uncolored", but I'm unsure why my lineart doesn't look that good on its own. Maybe it's just too clean and sparse. I never liked how my art looks without colors. Eh, I'll do monochrome or fully uncolored when I can.

I find the best time to get a multi-character commission from me, is when I have nothing to work on for a few days, and need more work. That is the perfect time for me to go all out and draw something very nice. The thing is, I will also try to put in as much effort as I can for any commission.

I'm less likely to want to work on more complex commissions, if I get more and more work to do. I'm almost at 6 commissions now. It's going to take at least 2 weeks for me to get through them all. The more work I get, the less I want to work on multi-character pieces, or complex outfits/patterns.

So... regardless of it all. I'll keep fighting. I'll keep trying to wake up at 7:00 PM. I mean, hey, it's better than waking up at 9:00 or 10:00 close to midnight. Yeah, my sleep schedule is that bad. It is causing a lot of disruptions and making me unavailable to help during the day.

So, yeah, one thing is going very well for me, which is getting enough art to work on. Thank you all so much for the commissions. I will slowly get through them all. But everything else is falling apart. Other things I want to draw, making video games, and other aspirations are tossed to the side.

My mom doesn't need to foist more work upon herself like this, she should be relaxing just a little bit more. I know I'm not helping either with my completely broken sleep schedule. I keep waking up when my alarm rings, only to feel too tired still and going back to sleep. It's a serious problem.

So despite the fact that my mom isn't getting any younger, and needs things to be as comfortable as possible, she keeps letting our house here get worse. We've spent years without a working dishwasher, so my mom insists on manually washing dishes, letting the broken dishwasher sit forever.

I'm trying to stay positive, but it's hard to do so when things continue to get worse in a variety of ways. The toilet in one of our two bathrooms has finally stopped working, and it already wasn't working right. My mom also insists on never hiring professional help, claiming it to be expensive.

I now am nearing about 5 or 6 commissions... wow... You know, I am immensely grateful for this. I shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth, as the saying goes. Yeah, I hate how it does take a lot of my energy away from game dev. But with my fixed sleep schedule, I should have the time.

That's the thing, everyone. It's not enough to work at my own pace. Just the IDEA itself, of having to work in the future and get commissions, is enough to mentally or emotionally exhaust me preemptively. It's what makes me struggle with developing my game, FireHeart Saga. Too much work to do.

I'm quite stressed out and feeling overwhelmed. Yes, it's nice having so much work. But it also feels like this is all I am and all I can do. I can't work on projects I want to work on, all the energy, including preemptive mental energy, is devoted to making money and getting commissions.

All of my energy gets devoted to commissions, or at that is intended to make money, to help me make a living. Afterwards, there is no energy left to work on my game, FireHeart Saga. There is no motivation or inspiration left. I just want to PLAY games in my free time, even if I want to MAKE games.

Now that I have a lot of work to do, it's sadly making me wonder if I'll ever have time to work on game dev stuff. Because when I do have time... I make excuses not to do it. So I wonder if I should've cancelled FireHeart Saga after all. It's just too much work, I get preemptive demotivation.

All I will do each day is, work on one part of a commission, such as the WIP sketch, Lineart, then Coloring and Shading. One of these parts each day. I don't need to finish these so quickly, even if I keep saying I need money "faster". No, I'm not in the red, I am doing okay.
