Glad to see that #Steyning can manage despite that screen being out of order! Reverting to trusted methods like banners and writing. I hate those big obstructive screens which have been put all over Brighton, as well as here in the small West Sussex town of Steyning.
A small poster says "Farmers market is at primary school". Behind that a banner saying "Steyning Farmers Market" (partly obscured. Behind that a large screen which usually gives obvious information is out of order, showing a reflection of me as I take the photo.

Compare and contrast the Government language. £3,750 EV grant on a £35k car: ‘helping families’. Cycle to Work: ‘subsidising leisure’. And yet cycling delivers TEN TIMES the impact of electric cars for reaching net zero. It’s almost like narrative, not data, is driving policy.
New Sunderland-made Nissan LEAF qualifies for £3,750 discount under government’s EV grant in a boost for North East manufacturing Vs Rachel Reeves to curb high-end bike purchases in Cycle to Work scheme

#Lewes in East Sussex doesn't reduce the day to day motor traffic on the High Street. This is a big disincentive and inconvenience for #ActiveTravel and results in a lack of space to do it, as well as vehicle emissions, risk of collisions etc.
There is the back of a white car on the left, an oncoming lorry in the distance, a white car pulling out on the right and parking on Lewes High Street.
