Also social democrats don’t really support civil rights either because capitalism inevitably erodes and reverses civil rights gains to further exploitation. Democratic socialism fails because the Bourgeoisie will resort to violence to upend any democratic reform and preserve class hierarchy.

After yesterday's Politico report, we can now confirm Zohran directly deployed the NYPD SRG to crackdown on protesters who were protecting a Nigerian man from being assaulted and arrested by ICE agents. A violation of his pledge that NYPD would
"Under no circumstances" assist ICE agents and, of course, his promise to disband the SRG. ICE arrests were not allowed at hospitals until 2025. By sending his police force to drag away the crowd and clear a path for the ICE agents (whom his NYPD officers helped load the undocumented migrant into their car), Mamdani himself ultimately assisted ICE in arresting this poor man.
