#xivwomenweek day 5 - Amid flora and crystals 🌷💠

an illustration of ryne and gaia. In the foreground, the two of them are sitting in the middle of a field of pink flowers, with the crystal tower visible behind a hill covered in flowers, while a close-up of their portraits, eyes closed, fills the background. Ryne's expression and position echo my earlier minfilia entry as well !!

the more i look at this the more the a/i comparison bothers me. i think op was trying to push a valid point deeper in the thread but unfortunately headlined the entire thing with something that can't easily be brushed over.

obviously the onus of shitty algorithms and a/i bs is not on artists at all and it shouldn't be, but idk i feel like crediting is within our means, and it helps us connect with more artists while also mitigating people getting totally drowned out in the trends.

benny @bennybee.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

ok while i think the comparison of small artists to a very large system of a/i is a bit egregious, there's definitely a point in stopping for a second to appreciate and respect where references come from, especially in a culture of instant gratification and convenience +

Knight and a Second chance [ #oc | #art | #knight ]

digital painting of knight oc Kauno. He's standing naked knee deep in water and covering himself with his hand crossed over his chest. The hand played with some of his long locks and reveals a healed scar in his neck. At his feet sinking into the water is a late medieval armour, slumping over him with dead weight. Kauno has places his right hand to hold the armor at the same spot (neck) he has his scar. All around them are seven common terns flying and diving into the water, splashing the otherwise calm water.

I ended up experimenting a lot with this one, pouring layers of ink washes over the watercolor and building up with pastels. I'm trying to get a look that is soft and textured but still has clear strong details in places. I haven't gotten it down yet quite the way I want, but this is a step closer!

A watercolor, gouache, ink and pastel illustration of two armored knights embracing. One knight holds a sword, the other is gently pushing the sword aside while he embraces and kisses him. Both are surrounded by decorative peony flowers.

Oh to perish together in battle 💛⚔️🖤 Less than 26 hours to go on KS! www.kickstarter.com/projects/nov...

In the midst of a great battle, a heavenly knight and a hell knight embrace as both enemies and as lovers. They hold each other as they both bleed from a single spear that’s pierced them through their hearts. A beautiful but also tragic scene as they perish together in one last embrace.

i like making black bean brownie/muffins, they aren't as sweet and obvs they taste a bit like beans, but they do fill a decent sweet craving. they also have a good bit of fiber/protein, so even if u add more sugar, it's metabolized/regulated better as u digest!

its wild to be considered a hot take but min/maxing in almost ANY normal content (with randos) is pretty asinine lmao like im sorry ur saving 10 seconds at most. it's not that serious and the normal content is built for casual players who don't know what a rotation is

it's because the imp is a caster that people tend to burn it down first since you can just stun skeleton's soul drain aoe, but to rescue you over it is legitimately insane 😭 like it really doesn't matter and you can easily get through both in either order
