i call this the 'drawing jendyne to sate my brain while drawing other jendyne images' image

A digital painting of Saijen (a troll from world of warcraft) and Dy’neth (a k’thir from world of Warcraft) standing facing each other in a way like initiating a dance. Saijen’s arm is reaching out to weave a chain on Dy’neth’s coat through his fingers while Dy’neth holds unto his bicep with one hand. Abstract clouds with birds make up the background with shapes of Saijen’s bracelets in the foreground equally reminiscent of tentacles.

lupis and I have been having some wacky bird encounters though. we saw a freaking /woodcock/ the other day foraging and shuffling (thought it was a squirrel) then tried to barely take off in the air in front of the trail. looked like a potato

last year we had birds nest in our door wreath and this year we had another finch family come and go and then. a different finch family built on top of that nest GDHCYJK. we noticed one of the babies was absolutely humongus (and the egg was different then the others) so oh cool, cowbird!

ALSO, DY'NETH 🦑!

a digital reference for dy'neth, a k'thir (mindflayer). he is a squid-headed being with 6 tentacles draping down the front of his face with no visible nose or mouth and small, glowing orange eyes. he wears a ragged coat with tears along the mantle and bottom edges, as well as barnacles and water stains. there is a tricorne hat on his head and a myriad of belts cinching his waist and around each wrist. a book is slung over one shoulder in a leather strap, and a metal lantern with an orange glowing light within hangs from a chain around his belt, the text reads (top to bottom): "Dy'neth - Faceless one - K'thir" "Once an eye as a fishmonger- now an eye as a double agent- being an eye as a depths disciple." "with no memories of his prior self, it is impossible for him to ask after the former's unwavering commitment to delivering intelligence that led to his transformation." Along the edge reads "Observing determines the reality"

(wow) an initiation to the deep: "the more things are spoken, the more they are understood." #fellart

a painted illustration of my mindflayer/k'thir oc dy'neth- he is holding a lantern that becomes a lighthouse with crashing waves below. there's a rectangle of stormy sky behind the lighthouse. behind the scene is a background of swarming fish with some of the eyes lit up eerily with bright orange, the same color as dy'neth's eyes. rays of light streak out from the lighthouse/lantern to illuminate the eyes of the fish.

| two gods who meet in the woods, their words spoken through forgotten hands

a digital illustration featuring a mounted troll archer and k'thir from world of warcraft. the troll and his raptor mount are depicted in a two-dimensional, geometric style akin to wall carvings, and he has a serious, hard expression. the k'thir is drawn in a more rendered style but with brushstrokes fraying off of his body. the troll is reaching down towards the k'thir, who's on the ground of the woods, reaching up. their hands are close, but not touching. flowing out from the troll are out of place golden stones and bricks leading to a mural of a distorted albatross who's brilliant eye stares down at the k'thir. flowing out from the k'thir are senseless, chaotic purple tentacles and eyes that swarm out behind the troll, watching him in return.

- self reenactment (a tower that finds it's reflection in the sea: when it collapses to find you but asks to forget me)

a digital illustration of saijen (right, a troll from world of warcraft) and dy'neth (left, a k'thir from world or warcraft) embracing, as if dy'neth was being caught mid-fall. they are nose to nose and staring wide-eyed at each other in a mix of awe and alarm. behind saijen's head, dy'neth is gripping his other hand, which flexes as if to violently grab. Behind them tentacles grow up over temple shapes and a mosaic falls away with only eyes distinctly seen.

(wow) i finally big pondered what i wanted for his squid mouth the other day based on what's in-game! (and hid some pre-dy'neth lore w hcs about his Event), i am a very big fan of the human-like hangovers in the k'thir that indicate it was a transformation/divine curse. very yummy to me

saijen/dy'neth kissing from february >:)c AHHH

a digital drawing of two characters (dy'neth, a wow k’thir and saijen, a wow troll) kissing, in two panels. the left panel shows saijen positioned a little above dy'neth, with dy'neth’s tentacles are wrapped around his neck with desperate expressions. below and in front of the primary drawing are hazily rendered figures shown colliding over time that fade out and become unrecognizable, and a row of coral and white beads. behind the characters is another drawing of them embracing and grasping, hazy and in all black and sandy tan.

on the right panel they are kissing again- dy'neth is notably at equal height; his eye is bright and ominous and the kiss on his end, with tentacles wrapped around saijen's features, looks almost predatory. water encroaches on them between barnacle clad pillars. a coral red constellation breaks up the two images.

The beautiful outro by @bravura.bsky.social's Ardbert for the #NatureArtParty at FishFest 2026.

Ardbert Hylfyst: Alright- this is where we can stop. Take a moment- settle in. Let me tell you a story.
Ardbert Hylfyst: It’s a story of a lonely child. The only child born on an island so small, the local priest had to learn to be a teacher to make up for a lack of schools. A child of absent soldiers- raised on stories of how when family dies, they return as sharks. A child that combed the beaches and watched the hammerheads bask in the heat of the sun.
Ardbert Hylfyst: Kholusia is a land forged in stories. It’s no surprise it forges people out of them, too. All it takes it stories, to fill a child’s head with dreams of a world so much bigger than he could ever imagine. Adventure- magic- you know it all, I’m sure. The dream of it all. The promise of it- a world to see, and with every step, you can promise back. To make it better with every step.
Ardbert Hylfyst: That’s- the thing, about stories. They’re strong, shifting things. They’ve a power of their own. A life of their own. They live in our voices and lives like some strange sot of mirror. You can see it, here, all around you. The desperation of the people. The fear of the end. The way a hammerhead’s reincarnation becomes stained with blood.

Ardbert Hylfyst: …But- well. There’s an invisible side to it, isn’t there? There can’t be stories without voices to share them. There can’t be folklore without the folks who come back together, over and over, to tell their tales. In their darkest hour- the people told stories. Grim ones, aye- but stories, still. They breathe, they change. They’ll change again.
Ardbert Hylfyst: Look, I- what I’m trying to say, anyway- is that it’s not over. That child from the island painted this world in white. His story will forever speak louder than the voice of the ghost left behind. But - here you all are. Here Kholusia is. Here are the sharks- and the blood is washing away.
Ardbert Hylfyst: Last time, I asked you all to promise me something. I’m going to ask it of you again. And next time- I’ll ask it again, and again. Be there. The next time the story shifts- be there. Be there, so the next voice tells it kinder.
Ardbert Hylfyst: Breathe the air. Feel the wind. It’s nice, isn’t it? How it makes the whole world feel real. Like you’re here- despite it all. So sit, for a while. Close your eyes. Let the world tell you its story.

TOMORROW !!! lets learn some new, fun, and surprising things together!

A digital uncolored sketch of Ardbert and Olyzas in front of an aquarium tank. In the first panel, Ardbert is reading information from a book with a puzzled expression. Ardbert says, "Aquamaton have been recorded 83 ilms long????". Olyzas is replying, "They look so small in aquariums...". Behind them, an Aquamaton, seemingly small to the viewer, is happily playing in the tank. Beneath the panel is text that reads: '*Note: this is 210 cms/ almost 7ft.'

In the second panel, the Aquamaton has turned and approached the tank surface to reveal it's true, gigantic size. with their dot eyes, Ardbert and Olyzas look like a mix of alarmed and fearful.
