A clip I hadn't seen: Looney Tunes director Chuck Jones talking about how Warner Bros. destroyed the original drawings and cels from the classic cartoons. A truly insane crime against art.

Played a little of The Duskbloods network test. I enjoyed it more than Nightreign I’d say. I still kind of wish it was just a (mostly) single player spiritual successor to Bloodborne though.

Johan is such a good example of almost super natural levels of being one step ahead and being a complete psychopath. Such a good example of the word monster.

Haha, love it. Urasawa’s work is just so good. Monster is my fav.

Very glad Naoki Urasawa’s Monster got a Blu Ray release. It arrived really fast too. Sadly it’s not the whole series (yet) but quality seems great.

I gotta say, Future Press has been pretty disappointing to purchase from. Ordered The Art and Making of Control, and it looks amazing. Arrived double wrapped and sealed with a 1” tear on the first page. Radio silent from them after making two tickets on their website 5 days ago.

The writing has been on the wall there for awhile. We left after they knocked down tons of affordable homes and gentrified everything. Built condos over those old neighborhoods. Also the job market is horrible unless maybe you’re in healthcare or want to work in an Amazon warehouse.

I’m going to guess when I see like Breyers Dubai Chocolate ice cream or some sort of cereal or flavored coffee that the trend is basically dead.

Expedition 33 is pretty good. I’m not far in enough to say much beyond that.

I keep seeing so many YouTube food channels with Dubai Chocolate or another TikTok variant. I’m taking the mature stance of “the more you show me the less I want it” approach. Lol

Driving in the snow // #xfiles Pencil and chalk pencil on moleskine

Xfiles Fan art. Pencil drawing of a scene from 'The Post-Modern Prometheus' an episode from the 5th season of X Files. Mulder and Scully are in a car, Mulder is driving, Scully is looking down at something. I have made it a bit festive and hinted at snow outside the car window.

IKEA is fairly strict with their branding and signage. They have a repository of images that are sanctioned and approved for general use. I wonder if this shit is in that repository now or if the graphics person in store is throwing it together.

I love that line. Watching X-Files lately and I still joke “When is a hyper evolved Flukeman going to save them both?”. In the episode Pusher, there is a tabloid with Flukeman on it that says it washed up in Martha’s Vineyard.

As a big fan of Nintendo games it’s hard to not have FOMO over a new console launch. I want to get one for the future, but it’s hard to justify getting this one at launch. Not much meat on the bones for me. Mario Kart is fun but doesn’t stick long for me. Donkey Kong looks like something I’d try.

The Akira manga is an embarrassment of riches for someone who loves the film. I can’t get over how much is missing. Makes sense though, this is impossible as a 1:1 movie. I’d love to see an unlimited budget giant at minimum 52+ episode adaptation.
