This is brilliant. It has me reflecting on how, in Scotland, parents aren’t generally fined for children not attending. No praise and behaviour points, where some children feel quantifiably labelled as more ‘bad’ than ‘good’. It certainly isn’t perfect here, but is an interesting contrast! #EdPsychs

Gosh this paper hits the nail on the head… “we argue that the replication crisis could be approached by paying more attention to the context conditions under which psychological realities and knowledge about these realities are being created”. All cognition and behaviour is in context. #EdPsychs

I RAGED at this on the radio yesterday, and will repeat my mantra: you cannot (MUST NOT) ask people to develop 'resilience' or 'grit' against those things that are in your power to change. 'Develop resilience' so often means 'your disability is inconveniencing me, please be less disabled' 🧵
