When I canvassed for the Dems, they sent me to the doors of reliable Dem voters rather than outreach to NPAs. That is where the strategy falls apart. NPAs can be swayed in some cases but are often left off the map.

Flipping Rs to blue is a lost cause that many Dems still dream about. Meanwhile, at least here in Florida, there is a full third of the electorate who are no party affiliation. Those NPAs hold the decision making votes.
