needed to record some alto sax... so now I own an alto sax again. I sold my last alto (a beautiful and sturdy selmer series 2) in 2000 to pay for a trip to the UK to visit my girlfriend (we've now been married 21 years). always wanted a yani alto and got a great deal on this used fella.

got my old saxophone out for the first time in years had a stroke in 2020 and lost my hand dexterity for a while, it never fully came back but I’m getting close to at least being able to play sad songs again

I went to a special screening of Transformers 3 (obv bad movie) at kennedy space center Peter Cullen was hosting, and kids drew pictures of robots and he would do slight variations of his Prime voice to introduce them One kid drew an Eeyore robot, and Cullen did the Eeyore voice and it was so good

One of my goals with Jazzpunk was to create the game's soundtrack using mostly synthesizers and effects that would've existed "at the time" ie: 1960s. I had built two EMS "VCS3" synthesizers, so I used these in conjunction with many different spring reverbs and tape echos machines, some were DIY

spent some time recently trying to get flixel running as a lua framework on top of an sdl3 backend; got far enough that the old Mode demo by @adamatomic.bsky.social ( w/ @dannybstyle.bsky.social music I think??? ) is mostly functional and I remembered when the world was a bit better
