Usually it's meant to be very strongly flavored to a point where a quarter spoonful is enough for the rice + veggies. I'm sure some people do eat it as a snack as is, but eating 100 grams of that would indeed be unusual (yet not out of the realm of the possible).

There's a concept in international relations, specifically power transition theory, called a "revisionist state." Basically, the idea is that a revisionist state will tear down the whole international state system because they think it's unfair to them personally. Sound familiar?
