So, uh... this game is back from the dead. Lol. DM apologized for over-reacting and promises never to do it again. Got the game restored by roll20 and people are willing to forgive. Not sure if I'll join their next game but this one's close enough to the end + I'm invested enough to see it through.

Hot take maybe, but I think I like FF7 Rebirth more than the original FF7. The improved presentation and characterization really makes the story feel better. Despite its changes, it very much carries on the soul of the original game. It's also goofy as hell, I love it.

So the DND campaign I've been in for the past couple years, my main campaign and the one I've poured a lot of effort and emotion into this whole time, has just imploded out of nowhere. DM had a breakdown and just left the group and deleted the whole game. No idea what happened, but I'm devastated.

DOOM '98 Imagined what if id Software released an additional entry in the Doom series in 1998, using a technological mix between id Tech 2 and GoldSrc engine. Going for the blend of fantastical and grounded, which would be in vein of Half-Life and System Shock 2.

Recently got a notification from my web host that I was running out of storage space and might need to upgrade. First thought: panic. Upgrading my plan for more server space is EXPENSIVE and it's not like IC2S is a money-making venture. It's a hobby I dearly love that costs me ~$100/year.

Just played the longest game of EDH in my life, went for like 4.5 hours LOL. 2 players with massive lifegain, and whenever someone would push to a position to win or do major damage, someone would deploy an answer and drag it out a couple more turns. I got some shenanigans with Knights of Round tho!

I think Xbox will also get rid of discs. They don’t care much about a ‘leg up’ on PlayStation and haven’t for years. Both companies are actually actively competing with other streaming services and social media - Netflix, YouTube, etc., as well as digital services like Roblox.
