The Novigrad serial killer side quest really pissed me off for this reason, it's revolving around contrivances & coincidences. And then, if you make the wrong choice, Geralt's just like "well, what are you gonna do" and doesn't bother getting involved again with an active serial killer on the loose.

So, uh... this game is back from the dead. Lol. DM apologized for over-reacting and promises never to do it again. Got the game restored by roll20 and people are willing to forgive. Not sure if I'll join their next game but this one's close enough to the end + I'm invested enough to see it through.

Genuinely, I think they are. DOA6LR is just a cheap way for them to get some interest in the brand, make a bit of money, and train a c-team on new tech. DOA7 will probably not pull out all the stops either given KT's history, but it'll be a damn sight better than this.

Hot take maybe, but I think I like FF7 Rebirth more than the original FF7. The improved presentation and characterization really makes the story feel better. Despite its changes, it very much carries on the soul of the original game. It's also goofy as hell, I love it.
