I will say it's both frustrating and hilarious that I'm being fed people's reactions who hate Lanterns for "not being like the comics" while also praising Snyder. It's like . . . Lanterns is way closer to the actual comics than anything Snyder ever did.

I'd argue that it isn't even a Surf Dracula. It's called Lanterns, not "John Stewart is the Green Lantern," plus John getting the ring was narratively the end point but it wasn't really what the show was about. It's one of those things that I'd love to talk about online, but it's so polluted...

Man, the chuds are out there for Lanterns like I haven't seen in ages. It's so annoying because I know on a certain level to ignore and block and avoid, but on a neurodivergent level they're getting something wrong and I can explain to them where they went wrong and why it's actually good.
