I feel like this is exactly the type of thing I'd excell at, except I'm middle aged and I'd be starting from nearly zero experience. I love video games and have a degree in writing but never ended up using those skills for anything but my own enjoyment.

Just started actual training for my March marathon. 6.5 miles, and a hojicha einspanner to celebrate. I always do a before and after photo shoot. My weight isn't an issue, but my SHAPE always changes dramatically while in training, and I like to see the difference. (not bad for 52 with 2 kids!)

The ONLY thing I miss about our Tesla (which was totaled a few months ago) was that it was old enough to get grandfathered in to free charging. We didn't pay for fueling that thing for the better part of a decade. Not mad about junking it and moving on, though, even with LA prices.

I'm extremely susceptible to bribes. Even if I'm bribing myself. Sooooooo...I just ordered a box of these assholes. They'll live with my husband until I 'earn' them (work on a project I'm having trouble starting). Hopefully it won't be a repeat of the gachapon 'oops, all Endeavors' fiasco.

When I was a kid we'd split a half a beef with our neighbors every year. Filled the freezer with actual butcher paper wrapped cuts. Might be time to look into doing that again (except we don't really know our neighbors...)

I was finally able to pick up my prize from the West Central Illinois Quilt Shop Hop. Now if I could only get my new sewing machine up and running...

An arranged variety of quilting supplies, including a purple rolling tote, two packages of pastel fabrics, batting, thread, and square templates. Someday the components might come together to make a small quilt or table runner.

Pigeon and Goose. This is around two weeks after the two were introduced. They never so much as hissed at each other, and were snuggling nearby after a couple days. And now... They are just the Bestest Boys. I'm so glad my niece adopted Goose!

My neighbor does this. Things have NEVER been this bad (with us next door). She's NEVER heard of contractors doing things the way ours do. Our 'excuses' make NO sense (because we're not capitulating to her whims) So obviously we're bad people who are out to get her and always wrong.

This guy was in my neighborhood a few weeks ago. They're all over the South Bay area! I love how even in our enclaves we have a lot of wildlife. Coyotes, foxes, possoms, skunks, raccoons...and a lot of invaders like this dude!
