Iunno, this was such a magical experience Looking at atlases, planning my route, buying a boat ticket, waiting for the boat to arrive both at departure and arrival, talking to strangers for directions- It's a magical experience that doesn't come around often anymore. I'm really glad XI still exists

It's been a while since I've played an old MMO, I'm really feeling that difference in design Pat sometimes talks about FFXIV being a great multiplayer RPG that I enjoy playing a lot, but then FFXI is a fantasy world that you inhabit, down to sitting on a boat chatting with strangers for 12 minutes
