Sunshine briefly breaks through the clouds in the Cree valley. In the foreground is the green roof of my neighbors sheds. The estuary is near the top of the tide and beyond you can see the fields and buildings of the other farmer. There may even be rain falling on the uplands beyond.

Botanical brewers seem to have been producers of non alcoholic beverages and there are many examples of similar stoneware from such producers up and down the country. Presumably it was not for sale in this vessel and I suspect it was a cordial or some such for mixing at point of sale.

The Tay. I think about 1.2km wide here, the narrowest point and where the tide is fastest. You can hear a bull roaring in the fields in Fife and deer swim the river here.

Bugger, that's harsh. The reason there are no NHS dentists is that it doesn't pay. Anything more than a checkup on the NHS is done at a loss to the dentist, charity work essentially.

Cairnsmore under a cap of cloud this morning, the fields in the valley have been mowed and are light green. I have no idea what's growing in the field next to me but it's leafy.

Otters are very good at not appearing when you want them to but I have sat not far from where this photo was taken watching them open shellfish on their chests.

The wasps here are incredibly polite and well behaved, not dicks at all. I found out though that my vegan neighbor feeds them. It could be that the wasps behaving like dicks are just hangry.

Rain clouds obscure the hills this morning. They've been cutting the grass fields and you can just make out the lighter shades of green between the hedges. Something leafy grows in the field in the immediate foreground.

Because there is no "cure" we can only alleviate the symptoms. It almost doesn't matter whether you have an official diagnosis, it's literally only useful if it's negative and it turns out you have something that is treatable. Otherwise keep alleviating as best you can.

As someone who wouldn't get anything under this scheme I'd be more than happy to support it. The only issue is administration costs and inevitable scheming with any means testing. If I sacrifice some amount of my salary to qualify, etc. policing means testing is a massive cost with little return.

Support for Israel's actions is not normal. Feeling compassion for the plight of Palestinians is. No amount of wailing and gnashing from the UK press will change that.

I can get a GP appointment any time I like by ringing up and booking one. So much better than the "you have to call the morning of the appointment" bollox in England. Do you even go to a doctor in Scotland?
