So, if I understand Nigel Farage's argument correctly it is: "Everyone I trusted and elevated into a position of responsibility is constantly doing crimes that benefit me but of which I somehow have no knowledge. I am a man with the character, judgement, and intelligence to run the country." Ok.

Scotland’s future should be decided by the people who live here. A draft Independence Referendum Bill has now been published, setting out the question and who would have a vote. Now Westminster must transfer the powers and let Scotland choose its own future.

It’s clear that Westminster is only interested in English voters and they will never allow another referendum because they know what the result will be and that would be painful for England. We need to find a legal/democratic way to have this referendum and allow Scotland to decide on its future.

It would be bad for public confidence if there was a suspicion that large corporate interests are buying access to the Government via the Tony Blair Institute. My letter to the cabinet office. 👇🏼
Dear Chris,
Tony Blair's essay published by the Tony Blair Institute yesterday contained some
important points, notably, a call to switch to an AI focussed economy with more
government investment in AI, which he argued would be facilitated by cuts to welfare
spending, reductions in the minimum wage and reduced workers’ rights.

It has been widely reported that Larry Ellison the owner of Oracle, which specialises in AI,

funded the Tony Blair Institute with over £250m, and also that the Tony Blair Institute has
significant contacts and influence within the government.
We are sure you will agree that it's important for the public to know whether there is a
link between Larry Ellison's donations and Tony Blair's public advocacy for more
government funding of AI. We therefore request that all formal and informal contacts
between representatives of the Tony Blair Institute and government departments
(officials and ministers) are disclosed.
It would be bad for public confidence if there was a suspicion that large corporate
interests are buying access to the government via the Tony Blair Institute.
Yours sincerely,
Zack Polanski

100’s of thousands of @snp.org list votes counted for nothing but the positives are a majority of SNP MSP’s over unionist MSP’s by 2 if we discount the @scottishgreens.org and a large pro Indy majority across the parliament. That’s a mandate for a referendum as far as I’m concerned.

Good read ⬇️
The Norstat poll is one of the least favourable we have seen during this election campaign for the SNP and the Scottish Greens, but it still shows Scotland is disposed to elect yet another pro-independence Parliament when it goes to the polls on Thursday.

In a normally functioning democracy that ought to prove something about the wish of the people of this country to revisit the independence question in a referendum, but in the UK the Westminster parties will lie, gaslight and try to shift the goalposts, and will be aided in their democracy denying efforts by a ferry obsessed Scottish media which has abandoned any pretence of holding Westminster power to account.
