First off, I do think there's a place for AI in our lives. To do busy work. To place hold. To /assist/. But there is zero argument for why anyone should celebrate AI books, AI art, AI movies. Zero. No one who wants these things is being honest or sincere.

It feels genuinely ridiculous having to say this, but the point of art is to connect with another human. Someone thought of that painting or melodic line or scene or paragraph that is suddenly making you weep, and that means that they saw you and understood you without even meeting you.

I try very hard not to be mean or confrontational with people. Especially when it involves ignorance vs willful ignorance. That said, the amount of times in the last 48 hours where I wanted to shout into people's faces "ARE YOU FREAKING STUPID!?!?" is way too damn high.

I did a marvel "draft" on a message board where we drafted characters and then gave an outline of a run with those characters. I ended up having a blast do it and think people would have enjoyed what I came up with. I really should explore that some more.
