The only interesting part is how much trouble people are having reconciling his apparently awful private behaviour with his thoughtful public persona. They are so convinced by the latter that they diminish the former, and all I can really say is that it's embarrassing to be that gullible, sorry.

The topic isn't worth anywhere near as much attention as it's getting, though. A single incidence of sexual assault from 10 years ago is not big news, and the fallout, so far, has followed a very natural and morally inoffensive trajectory.

It's also worth pointing out that most of the people defending him are fans who only know him through his public persona. Those who knew and worked with him in real life, and can judge him from that frame of reference, are cutting ties.

I've seen no convincing evidence that Geller has redeemed himself and no longer feels entitled to women's bodies. This is not at all clear from his apology, and my understanding is that the roots of men's entitlement is not a major theme in his body of work.

Today was an awful day at IGN. We were blindsided by the layoff of four union members and many more people across the organization who contributed years of their careers to making IGN an unparalleled voice in games and entertainment.

With each successive layoff, core parts of IGN’s operation continue to be stripped away. Today, IGN has decided to do away with many of our talented producers, editors, hosts, and other crucial roles, both within and out of the union. How many layoffs will occur before we no longer recognize the company we work for and the content that we make?

While we recognize the challenges the media industry is facing as a whole, it is difficult to understand how laying off valuable employees better positions us to meet those challenges. In turn, remaining employees bear additional workloads worsened by anxiety over the ever-looming threat of another layoff.

We are devastated, angry, and heartbroken for our colleagues.

They intentionally didn't update the mechanics for Starcraft Remastered because they knew it would mess with the balance, and also remove the catch up mechanic inherent to large armies/bases being unwieldy. Imagine how busted some of the units would be if they were easy to control. Madness!

It is infuriating how few people and publications in the gaming space have condemned the US and Israel's attacks on Iran. Gaming is one of Iran's most popular hobbies, and more than half of the population speaks English. The gaming community can't see itself as separate from these things.

Exactly how it was for me. Definitely the best way to discover dragons. They shouldn't even appear until you've done this imo. Probably the best moment in the game, followed closely by the time I noticed that the top of Satori Mountain seemed to be glowing a strange blue and decided to investigate.
