Please admire my recently refinished handrail: as solid a piece of hardwood as you could ask for. Last weekend I scraped and sanded off all the old finish and decided to just use clear sealant. Returned it to service before anyone might need it.

Aqua wall with a natural wood handrail over some carpeted stairs. Ignore the bad spot on the carpet. I need to borrow a staple gun.

Today’s ADHD project: removed the old finish from a ~50-year-old wooden stair rail with a carbide scraper and sanding. Now I’m trying to decide whether to stain it or just throw a few coats of clear polyurethane on it.
