the core of the omega nebula 🌌 image credit: eso
It shows the dusty pink central parts of this well-known stellar cradle, revealing extraordinary details in this cosmic landscape of clouds of gas, dust and newborn stars.

The colorful gas and darkened dust of the Omega Nebula are the raw materials for the creation of the next generation of stars. In this particular area of the nebula, the newest stars on the scene—dazzlingly bright and shimmering bluish-white—illuminate the entire ensemble. The nebula's smoky-looking dust ribbons are silhouetted against a background of incandescent gas. The dominant reddish colors, which spread over this part in the form of a cloud, arise from hydrogen in the form of gas, which shines under the influence of the intense rays of ultraviolet light emanating from the hot young stars.

a supernova would be a million times brighter than holding a nuclear bomb right in front of your eye and setting it off
A circular-shaped nebula with a complex structure. On the circle’s exterior, particularly on the left side of the image, are curtains of material glowing orange like fire. Interior to this outer shell is a ring of mottled filaments in bright pink, studded with clumps and knots. A greenish loop extends from the upper right of the ring into the central cavity. Translucent wisps of blue, green, and red appear throughout the image.

DePasquale (STScI)The Crab Nebula's complex oval structure lies against a black background. On the nebula’s exterior, particularly at the top left and bottom left, lie curtains of glowing red and orange fluffy material. Interior to this outer shell lie large-scale loops of mottled filaments of yellow-white and green, studded with clumps and knots. The central interior of the nebula glows brightly. Around and within the supernova remnant are many points of blue-white light in the Hubble image.

Titan before Saturn #2 - From Val Klavans - flic.kr/p/cdBs4Q
This is a true color view of Saturn and its moon Titan. Titan is seen here hovering near Saturn's rings.

This composite is made of images that were taken by Cassini's camera system, the Imaging Science Subsystem (ISS) on May 6, 2012 and received on Earth May 7, 2012. The camera was pointing toward TITAN at approximately 764,600 kilometers away, and the images were taken using the red, green, and blue filters.

Outer part of Triangulum galaxy. Processed by @thocarp.bsky.social www.flickr.com/photos/19746... 🔭 🧪
This image captures a portion of the outer spiral arm of the Triangulum Galaxy, our nearest galactic neighbor after Andromeda. The image is dominated by a multitude of stars, ranging from bright, young, blue stars to cooler, redder stars. There are also hints of dust lanes and gas clouds, suggesting active star formation in this region. The Triangulum Galaxy, also known as M33, is a spiral galaxy similar to our own Milky Way, and studying its structure and stellar populations can provide insights into galaxy evolution.
