Lately, I've seen ableism show up as the idea that people are more worthy when they're "out there in person" making & doing things, rather than "lying around at home" or on a keyboard. This framing ties our value to productivity & devalues people w chronic illness who are homebound

If it was Summer My guess would be Nursey Web spider. They are hunting spiders. They only build webs for, as their name implies, their babies. So it would explain tbe abesns if a spider, but ring season for them.

I know you call it a “spiderweb” in the alt text but given your location, time of year, and the vertical nature of the “web” my guess is that it’s not a spider, but a fall webworm. (From my little familiarity, Grass Spiders build mostly a like a trampoline like web not a tent in the grass)

Hopefully you can see in this context that Dean is driving Baby at various speeds inclusive of 2 times the local speed limit and three times the local speed limit. Double and Triple in this are modifiers of “speed limit” not each other so they are not multiplicative of each other.

Omigod, this is the most heartwarming story possible! Backpack (bear 89) is the son of the 2019 winner of Fat Bear Week, Holly (bear 435). In 2007, he injured his foot & a practice of riding on momma's Holly's back had a new meaning: he was mobility-restricted while it healed. So Holly moved him.
