Thread: I saw some discourse from people who treated genAI voices as "just TTS." It can be a tool for things where unique VO is impossible (i.e. Siri), but an AI voice voice is recorded once. It's usually at a low rate with crap in-perpetuity usage terms in the contract. (1/3)

A pet peeve I have is when, in translated Animanga, just before they have a meal, the on-scene characters shout "thank you for the food." The reason it irks me is because *that's not what they're saying in that moment.* It's a translation misconception that's gone on way to fucking long. 1/4
