was having some weird Internet problems all of a sudden, we even called our ISP and all. Had no idea what it could be turns out I unplugged the pihole I set up as the network's only DNS server so this is home networking™

lmao how did I miss this. A group of cryptographers held an "secure" election using some fancy cryptography but one of the election trustees lost their decryption key and so the professional society of cryptologists couldn't figure out who won. Put it in Aesop's Fables!

tbqh I think the expectation that ppl need to learn HTML and CSS is a low bar to clear, but it kind of gets in the way for most people. I think people should learn how to customize their own site if they want, but it can be Too Much for the general Artist who just wants to host their webcomic

People need to realize that owning your own url is like $20/year and is a permanent pointer to You as long as you can afford to pay that. Maybe there just needs to be a better "set up your own webcomic site with minimal effort" tool

I feel like this is being blown out of proportion as a suddenly new issue when it's just "how things have been." ATC comms are on open freqs, that's how random pilots can tune in and tx/rx. People generally don't fuck around with it because a) very illegal b) can kill people c) hams will find you
