Hey David, I’m from the Newcastle-Upon-Tyne Astronomical Society. Was wondering if you’d be up for potentially coming to speak to us about astrophotography? (Also very welcome to join ☺️) Send me a message if you’re interested. Thanks! 🪐

What looks like an alien starship visiting a small country estate in eighteenth-century Germany is in fact, *checks notes* a giant pomelo. So nothing to see here, #skystorians

Scafell Pike, Lake District. The tallest mountain in England. It is important to remember that whilst we search for habitable worlds out there, much of what we are looking for is right here on our beautiful Earth already. We shouldn’t take it for granted! Beautiful sights on a beautiful day!🌍🚀🪐

A video from a year ago, during my undergrad degree. Little did I know at the time I’d be doing a master’s, let alone a PhD in Space law, come October. Would recommend Bio w/Sci&Soc to any young scientist for the academic and personal development opportunities. www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvWA...

Many space lawyers do bring astrobiology into their discussion. So it depends from what angle you need it. Charles Cockell comes to mind with some of his philosophical arguments considering microbes or extraterrestrial liberty.

The cosmonaut used to appear to ‘hold’ a flag under certain lighting. The flag on a neighbouring building would cast a shadow onto the mural, moving in the wind and adding to the illusion Due to renovations and gentrification of Kreuzberg, the building owners changed hands and the flag was removed…

Space inspires the world around us! After a weekend in Berlin, I can see some are more obvious than others. Berlin’s famous TV Tower is inspired by the Soviet’s Sputnik. A symbol of power from East Germany The Cosmonaut (Victor Ash) is an unmissable mural on a building in Kreuzberg.

non-space related but my weekend welcomed a new member to my family. Little Eli (like Elijah). So far, he loves to try and stand on my laptop, sleep and give everyone a big lick and a cuddle. 🫶 My arms and shoes are covered in bite marks but my heart feels very full!
