Hard to say what is scarier, this kinda shit or maybe having to park 1/2 a block further from your house than you want to.

This Tesla is stuck because it goes forward when set to reverse, and there’s no more space for it to go forward. Seems like a software bug. How are these cars allowed on the road? How are they allowed to “self drive”?

I’m sorry Kendra, my kid almost got hit on San Pablo in Emeryville when a driver didn’t stop in a crosswalk until I yelled at them. It’s dangerous to cross, dangerous to be on. I’m glad they didn’t hit you and sorry the driver was a jerk about it. The street needs a lot of fixing.

Tired of being yelled at by drivers for existing on the roadway. It’s been a while, but have had two incidents in the last week. One nice thing protected bike lanes so is that they provide car-free space so you can exist with less harassment

😕 after some advocating, we were able to have school administration explicitly tell parents not to park in the bike lane. Hope that it works for district buses in your case.

Lots of members of the community were at Strawberry Creek Park in Berkeley yesterday. Bike parking was over capacity, so we, like many others, parked on the grass. If the city builds more more bike lanes nearby, the Hidden Cafe is going to need to expand.

Monterey Fish van drivers are consistent bike lane blockers, and I wonder if this has to do with baseline food delivery convenience over safety, or if they are instructed to do so.

Transportation is the majority of Berkeley’s GHG emissions and we can’t reduce that without reconfiguring how we get around and how much rolling mass is required to do so.

There are so many people in North Berkeley who would ride and shop on Hopkins and support small local businesses, if only it felt safer to do so. Berkeley has done great in building protected lanes on the South side of campus. Those get a lot of use.

One of these vehicles carried a compound miter saw and seven 2x4's to the workplace after the school drop-off. The others are toys that rarely haul, tow or go off-road. #CargoBikes

Quick changes can quickly be made to deal with trucks already in the streets. Then longer-term solutions can be implemented to make our streets safer.

I prefer “acid cyclists”! I am curious what the actual road space is that is dedicated to bike lanes vs car travel + street parking.

Notice how he doesn't even mention parking, despite the containers being located along the curb. Other mayors would talk about the tradeoffs and say, "Look, we know New Yorkers like their parking." Not Mamdani. He keeps the focus where it belongs: on cleaner streets.

On my ride home, I stopped at an intersection, and waited for a car to cross. I heard a weird noise, turned around, and smiled when I realized it was a barking dog in a car. The driver flipped me off when I looked again! I wasn’t even in the way!
