You have to wonder, right? I grew up Mormon, which makes this even weirder. I always imagined it exactly like a movie theater, but the screen was permanently dark--maybe it just made sense for death to feel like the end of the credits.

When I was ~3-4, I was inexplicably convinced heaven was a dark movie theater auditorium. I remember asking my mom if heaven was "dark with a lot of chairs" and she was like "I mean...I guess there could be chairs? Sure, there are probably chairs" I STILL have no idea why I thought this.

I made this for a 70s B-movie style short film in high school, and it's had a special place in my heart ever since. (Upon rewatching, the 8-minute film is completely nonsensical, but I had so much fun making it!!!)
