Hmm, the real question here is whether this weirdo is going to stay relevant long enough to be worth making a GIF of Benoit Blanc saying, "Nazi child"?

Home Alone makes changes to the Die Hard formula that render it hard for me to enjoy. The McClain character should feel overawed. And in theory having Kevin be a child versus adults achieves that. But the thing is: Kevin is a god. It's not just Tom & Jerry. This is some random punks versus Anansi.

Spelling Bee is wrong again.
Screenshot of the NY Time daily game, Spelling Bee, where a selection of letters is presented and the player must construct words using only those letters. The letters are arranged in a circle with another in the middle, the middle letter must be present in order to for the word to be considered valid.

In this case the centre letter is 'B' and the additional letters (going clockwise from the 12 o'clock position) are 'L', 'H', 'S', 'C', 'O', and 'K'.

The word "BOLLOCKS" has been constructed and the game has responded with the message "Not in word list", which is bollocks, thus demonstrating the validity of the entry.

Hello! I've been one of the lucky few on the BIA these last few years, and in light of the uncertainty of its future and potential for public support, I decided to write out this comic with the help of BIA compatriot @ianfay.bsky.social to share our stories. 1/3 ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/run...
Ken: Hey, I'm Ken.

Ian: And I'm Ian. We're both in receipt of the B.I.A. (Basic Income For the Arts)Ken: Our last payment is in February 2026. The future of the scheme is uncertain, but we're here to talk about the past and what we've accomplished these past three years.

Ian: Thanks to the B.I.A, I have expanded my skill set and learned 3D sculpting. I bought a 3D printer to make hand painted toys of my own designs.Ian: I can afford to repair it and spent thousands in the local economy continuing to grow and create.

Ken: As for me, I've been self-publishing small books for a while, but I now have the means to release larger books, which also gave me the confidence to run two different crowdfunding campaigns.Ken: Without it, and after failing to return to animation, I was going to start a career in I.T. I was in a bad place with no hope for the future, but almost overnight, the B.I.A made my long struggling passion into a real livelihood. Nowadays, I can travel for events, sustain car expenses and socialise without managing my spending. In darker times, I was about to pay all the vet bills for my dying cat.

So MUCH of this comes down to anti-trans groups trying to cast toilets as sexual places. And when anyone, as a reasonable person, steps back and considers that based on our legit personal experience, it just needs to be accepted as DEEPLY dubious, weird and fucking brain worms insane.

Age yourself with a film you saw in the cinema.
Jessica Lange being cuddled by a friendly ape (who totally doesn't want to do anything but cuddle) in King Kong (1976) and no, Google AI, it wasn't released with a 12A certificate because that didn't exist at the time, it was a PG and my Dad felt it'd be fine and I wouldn't have nightmares.

He didn't say anything about me wanting to run away with Jessica Lange or fuck a gorilla later in life, however. One simply didn't consider that sort of thing back then.

25 years ago this very evening, on Saturday 13th November 1999, BBC2 dedicated a whole night - well, just over three and a half hours - to Doctor Who. With no prospect of a new series on the horizon, it was one of the most exciting nights of the year for a 14 year old Who-mad lad. #DoctorWho
Radio Times cover, 13-19 November 1999 - I bought mine from Sainsbury's over the road and treasured it for many years until it started to fall apart. Time does that to you.
