The 14 Pro was declining fast. Finally had to bite the bullet.

Saw a comment that implied this might be just getting it ready for the new museum at Edwards. I’m happy either way.

"Middle management" means "anyone who has any institutional knowledge or knows how to do anything around here." They can temporarily save on compensation expense and then wonder why nothing works as well any more.

Any airline people have any thoughts—is buying a Priority Pass membership worth it if you’re a nonrever?

Ooo the Airline Dispatch Federation worked out full jumpseat privileges for offline dispatchers on FedEx! That hasn’t been a thing for a long time.

I’m the farthest thing from an influencer, so nobody’s gonna pay me to say this. But man, when I say I l love this thing I mean it. My Manta sleep mask goes everywhere with me. As someone who regularly sleeps ‘til noon or so, it’s a game changer

Let me give you the actual solution to this problem. Universities and colleges have to hire football players as union employees (AFL-CIO, same as the NFL), with no requirement to attend school. They get health and retirement benefits, and are limited to a five year employment contract.

Here’s the most incredible story you’ll read today. A small plane with four people aboard crashes in a field. Another pilot witnesses it. That pilot happens to be flying a bunch of skydivers. They offer to jump to assist, are given permission. The skydivers happen to be EMTs. Everyone survives.

Skydivers alert emergency crews, assist after plane crashes near East Troy airport

Four people were aboard the single-engine plane when it went down in a cornfield near Carvers School Road in East Troy at about 1:30 p.m.

Today was a good one, honestly. I don’t get to use the NAT tracks very often.

Days when I get to work expecting to do my normal duties but get assigned a full-on dispatcher shift always leave me so exhausted. Not a bad thing though.

Officially moving to a new role within the dispatch department. Going to be an auditor/publications specialist. Lateral move pay-wise, but I’m looking forward to it.

As a person with an anxiety disorder, the Guardians clinching a playoff spot while Notre Dame is a National Championship contender is wonderful but also iffy cardiac health-wise.

My idea of where cities are on the globe v where they actually are often creates fun moments. Like, which of these three is farthest north: Istanbul or Tokyo or New York? Which is farther west: Reno or Los Angeles? Boston or Aruba? Atlanta or *any* non-island point in South America?

Really just a lovely experience as a jumpseater SAV-DTW today. DL’s agents were great. SkyWest crew was great. SAV is also a really nice smaller airport. Happens to have F-15s visiting this week, too, so got a little show from them.

Through the end of August 2026, the House was in session for roughly 383 hours total. That’s an average of about 48 hours per month. Their average monthly floor time is well below the 80-hour monthly threshold the same Congress imposed on Medicaid recipients.

Travel backpacks. Who makes the best ones? I’ve got a Herschel that I use for my work commute and sometimes for travel. It’s great but wearing out. Also doesn’t have the pass-through to put on top of a roller bag,

Open to any and all recommendations for Savannah, GA. My parents’ Hilton Head rental (which has been wonderful) ends Saturday, I’m sticking around for a couple days in SAV. Don’t go back to work ‘til late next week.
