Work on the preserved animal tracks along the bottom of the Flag Fen Basin at Must Farm suggested the shape and size are indicative they were created by cattle and are reminiscent of similar ones discovered nearby at Bradley Fen.

Running across the middle of this image, above the scale, is a series of animal tracks from Must Farm. Travelling along the bottom of the Flag Fen Basin the tracks went to and from the wet hollow and were probably part of the daily route of small groups of animals moving between pastures.
