It's critical to remember we have NO civics education in New Zealand. Ppl do not necessarily know how MMP works, how a coalition works, or how to best make their vote reflect their values The more you can make talking about politics normal and chill, the more ppl feel they're allowed to be curious

As far as I know, 1. #Climate impacts of LLM use are often exaggerated, sometimes wildly 2. Claims that “AI” would be net climate positive are unadulterated horseshit. No efficiency improvement can, by itself, reduce emissions meaningfully and over the long term. What is needed are *limits.*

Week 7 of pneumonia.....so a lot of streaming being consumed. Just watched a documentary "the AI DOC". A key takeaway for me is that it's up to us to stop the risk-shifting. Governments must require AI corporates to manage the risk. We need to vote in people who are willing and able to do that.
