I think this may explain why this cursed... thing turned up in the middle of my tablet photos. I thought about asking about it at the time but I thought everybody would just say I had used AI to create it and was lying about it for clout.

He had x-rays today. there is nothing obviously wrong, although more info tk once the actual radiology lab looks at it. his bloodwork is fine. urinalysis is fine. and yet he's in visible pain, poor guy. He got some pain meds. Next step is ultrasound (more $$) if he doesn't start feeling better.

Does anyone know what these things are? I bought them on eBay as beard / dread beads but though they're about the right size, they have a closed base and I have no idea what the hooks are for. Please share with anyone who might know, thank you!

The only *guaranteed* piece of craft advice I can give -- I mean the advice that is universally applicable -- is that if you kill many other writers and eat their scribere gland (roughly the size of a black-eyed pea, so be careful not to damage it) then your prose will improve immensely
