Zoe @animeprincess.net · 28/07/2026A consequence of following a bunch of Japanese translators on bluesky is I keep buying random media like And Then There Were None (manga edition) or Lady Battle Cop (I have never heard of Lady Battle Cop before). 000
Zoe @animeprincess.net · 23/07/2026The good news is I started getting over my learning Japanese funk. The bad news is this has so far resulted in watching multiple episodes of Star Detective Pretty Cure a day and not much else. When work is less stressful I'll get back on the kanji grind but until then easy anime will do nicely. 110

Zoe @animeprincess.net · 26/04/2026Broke: Learning Japanese to read Japanese books. Woke: Learning Japanese because Bluesky's 300 character post limit is too small and I can say more stuff when I can use a bunch of 漢字. 020

Zoe @animeprincess.net · 17/03/2026So I watched Girl's Last Tour as part of my Japanese studying. It was wild going from talking heavy shows like Bocchi or Medalist to one where sometimes there's a simple sentence every 20 seconds or so. It was good! Gonna follow it up with watching D.I.Y and reading 終末ツーリング. 110

Zoe @animeprincess.net · 16/02/2026For Japanese learning I just finished: Love Live Season 1 (required no thinking). Next up: Girl's Last Tour and Space Brothers The start of Girl's Last Tour had very easy language. Also very moody -- I fear that it will require thinking! So far Space Brothers is full-on JAXA propaganda. #japanese 110
Zoe @animeprincess.net · 08/02/2026when I study flashcards I'm like "oh yeah senshu that means a sports fighter!", completely forgetting how English is supposed to work. so then when the card flips over "oh yeah the word for sports fighter was athlete, there is a word for that" 010
Reposted by ZoeEike Exner @eikeexner.com · 14/01/2026We've been calling them 'words.' But here's the thing: that's not quite tadashii. A kotoba isn't a word. They're something else entirely- a role unique to Japanese gengo. And there's no eigo no kotoba that surus it seigi. So from ima on, wareware tsukau the hontou no kotoba: kotoba. 26655300
