Writing a personal note about the Carter Family's "Can the Circle Be Unbroken" (as one does) and I realize that I don't get why the lyrics say UNbroken. Surely the song is about the cycle of birth and death endlessly repeating, which the singer wishes would stop.

Had an encounter with a driver tonight who did not want to take turns merging. Instead they wanted to lean on the horn and force their way through. The kicker is that they had a stop sign and were merging into our lane, where we had the right of way. Just make a zipper, dipshit, it's easy.
