13. Hence our dismal conclusion: rather than finding that LLMs free us to do a better job of what we were doing before they came along, they shift scientific incentives (and the playing field of academic competition) in ways that compel us to do more and more, faster and faster, less and less well.

Two years ago, my colleagues and I were sued by Stephen Miller's America First Legal. The Hines v Stamos case — built atop a number of false allegations — was a central element of the "censorship industrial complex" myth. Today, that case was dismissed (by a Trump judge in LA). We won.

Excellent Nobel Prize. My suggestion for next year: chemical engineering. Nobel himself was an engineer, and the prize awards achievements that "conferred the greatest benefit to humankind". Furthermore, the Prize should also be given to "improvements". When did that happen the last time?

Icing a three-layer cake for predictive modelling of adsorption - Nature Chemistry
Accurately predicting the adsorption of small molecules is a long-standing challenge in surface chemistry. Now, an automated simulation protocol, combining theory at different levels, has been demonstrated to accurately and efficiently recover binding enthalpies of a diverse set of small adsorbates on ionic surfaces.
