Would not the world be a better place if we followed more (but not all) academics and fewer (but not no) commentators. (I often overcome twinges of misanthropy by imagining the person I am passing is a renowned but publicly anonymous academic, bit like Homeric “strangers could be gods in disguise”.)

Seems misleading, @benjudah.bsky.social ? How could UK be in Schengen if Ireland isn’t? On the euro, I understand the UK doesn’t fulfill the criteria and then it would still have to opt to adopt it (other EU countries have not adopted it even though they fulfill the criteria?)?

The Rejoin petition jumped from 70K to 75K yesterday. It needs to hit 100K by June 8th when the petition closes in order to get a debate in Parliament. The 10th anniversary of the Brexit vote is June 23rd.
