Good morning with good news: Renewables & nuclear generated 49.9% of US electricity in May 2026, up from 47.4% in May 2025! Solar and wind jumped to 24.3% in May 2026 from 21.5% in May 2025! They drive decarbonization. RE were 32.1%, up from 29.8%. Nuclear was 17.8%, up from 17.6%.

In 2010, after Deepwater Horizon accident killed 11 and resulted in the biggest oil spill in history, investigators found massive corruption at MMS. The Obama admin wisely split the agency so safety folks were separate from revenue folks. Trump admin reverses, putting corruption back in the system.

Good morning with good news: Wind & solar generated 26.1% of US power and was up ~4.5 times from 5.7% in March 2015! W&S gained 2.2 points since March 2025's 23.9%. Soaring W&S drove renewables to a monthly record high of 35.1% in 3/ 2026. RE was 15.2% in 3/2015 & gained 20 points! #energysky

I feel like people would have a much easier time if they just accepted that no, words don’t actually have fixed definitions. Language is always changing and if enough folks start using a word in a new way, that’s what that word means now. Accept it and carry on with your day.
