Harsh truth in life is that sometimes the best piece of insight really does come from the absolute worst person imaginable, lol.

The New York Times’ coverage of Iraq in the aughts, then Gaza and trans issues in the 2020s has made the world a manifestly worse place anyone who works for it should be at least intellectually honest about that.

Yesterday's news about Jacob Geller broke my heart, so much that I couldn't stop dwelling on it all day. In an effort to make sense of this horrific news and my admittedly complicated feelings about it, here is my article on the Jacob Geller situation: epiloguegaming.com/what-do-we-d...

What Do We Do With Jacob Geller? - Epilogue Gaming

Earlier this week, a friend noticed Jacob Geller’s book, How A Game Lives, sitting amongst my living room shelves. Under almost any other circumstances, this would have been an exciting invitation for...

SPOILERS FOR RESIDENT EVIL (2026) + Games To be honest, the ending of the new Resident Evil movie felt so unexpected to me because most of the games have happy endings that happen even if the main characters go through absolute hell. Bad endings are kind of rare.

See, I don't get why people complain about how "Elliot Page isn't hot anymore." because I don't really have that much entitlement over people's bodies, plus I'm a bisexual, lol.

I dunno why but I love comedies with offensive humour sometimes, but I hate the experience of watching a film and someone's like "Look at how on-point this is. It predicted the future!" or some shit, lol.

I have been struggling to process my thoughts on all this and couldn't really sum it up better than this. It's deeply sad. I looked up to Jacob as he presented himself, I contributed a foreword to one of the pieces in his book of scripts, I had him as a guest on the fundraising stream I did.

Sucks when so much of the news is about rape and sexual abuse, on top of clueless pontification about those subjects.

100

Andrea @andreadollier.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

It's wild how most rapists when they're talking about what they did as "remorse" they'd often self-indulge in it where it's like "You have no idea what it's like, to have something follow you. To experience painful reminders over and over again." sort of thing.

This is a sobering read about the BBC and #savile - but those who've criticised the excellent current piece about lesbians pressured into sex on the grounds of "it never happens" or "it's only their testimony" should do some self-reflection.

Hitman 2: Silent Assassin is game where Agent 47 goes through an existential void period where he confesses to a priest about his sins, then divine intervention happens where God himself comes in to set off a chain of events to make him discover his true purpose - assassinating people.

There's a number of scenes in Cannibal Holocaust (1980) that actually make me laugh and it's mostly just the final line of that movie, as well as the bit where a guy gets his leg chopped off from a snake bite and he dies, and the crew are like "We'll miss him!"

The main reason you haven’t heard about campus sexual violence in a few years is because Trump and SCOTUS have made it much, much harder for survivors to come forward. You might vaguely remember that Title IX was a big battleground in his first term. And that we lost.

Obsession (2025) is one of those movies where its main character does things totally antithetical to what I would do where I just felt like it was a nightmare with how it kept going on. Right from the "wish" he asks for at that.
