5.9 units of alcohol is NOT binge drinking!

God, could you imagine? Anyway, I think solipsistic (specifically) detransitioners are the fucking worst, lmao.

000

I transitioned to female out of spite of our political systems and now I have crippling gender dysphoria. For that I am sorry. Our political systems were correct and by my own experiences (solipsism QED) this is a universal truth.

Also it's funny how like I've prevented weight gain just by the amount of exercise that I do, but I sort of lose weight if I just add a bit more, lol. Really that's my secret to staying relatively skinny (<25 BMI).

000

I'm surprised that I went through them quite quickly but I think the Halloween season as well as just flipping one on when I'm bored made me burn through them quite quickly. Hoping to finish them either this month or November.

000

Four Video Nasties left and then I've seen them all, lol.

100

I think my running hobby is just an extension of my eating hobby, tbh.

100

I remember either in Primary or High School, teachers would talk a lot about how runners had to eat a lot to sustain their running and oh my god, is that true, lmao.

100

All of Seasons 1-7 as well as the Tracey Ullman Show shorts are over 30 years old, as of today.

000

Nuts the amount of Simpsons episodes out there that are over 30 years old, lol.

100

Learning to make mistakes and recognising why they're mistakes is really the life-hack that gets you through anything.

000

Yukio Mishima writing heterosexual sex scenes always has subtle hints that deep down he's really not into it.

000

I think some people point to it because far-left seems to antithetical to far-right, but it also seems lopsided in terms of pointed towards similarities rather than differences between politics. I certainly don't see it as a strong theory.

Lane Stellmaker @hipcrimevocab.net · 08/10/2026

Honestly, I think horseshoe theory just doesn't hold when it frames far-left people as exceptionally overlapping with the far-right, when there's plenty of centrists and liberals who wind up sharing similarities with the far-right, lol.

We bullied a bunch of vulnerable kids back into the closet with threats of explicit violence and parental abuse. Why do they suddenly feel less secure?

It's sort of weird how Playboy Magazine in pop culture is like this big, extravagant adult vice wonderland that's in comedy movies like Miss March (2009), Hop (2011), The House Bunny (2008) and what not, but then on the other hand you have the movie Star 80 (1983).

010

Hugh Hefner had such a bizarre moral compass that you would never entirely get if you just read Scorched Earth radical feminist critiques of him and Playboy Magazine. Though, tbf, the radical feminists aren't entirely wrong.

John Hinckley being allowed on social media was maybe a bad idea, tbh.

A trailer for Ebeneezer (2026) popped up when I was watching Digger in cinemas, and it basically just said without saying "Johnny Depp has be uncancelled, folks!"

000

Also, I don't think it has any sort of contempt for its audience, but a lot of contempt for the subjects it's satirising, lol. Like yes, it understands deeply why we feel the need to laugh at and make fun of horrible, sanctimonious people.

Andrea @andreadollier.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

I thought Digger would be a Gregg Turkington ass movie and it turned out to be a genuinely great piece of satire, that also reflects heavily on the limitations of satire itself. It's also insane and frenetic, lol.

Robert A. Heinlein's Starship Troopers has politics that are to the left of the Harry Potter books, tbh.

John Hinckley Jr.'s YouTube videos are actually kind of terrifying.

Code Veronica is probably the best RE game to be remade, lol.

010

The Carry On series of films would probably be a lot better if there was a string of brutal murders in between all the comic hijinks, tbh. Carry On Screaming is the best one because it's the closest it comes to that vision.

000

One of the Carry On films is called Carry On Cruising, lmao.

000

Bra hooks are a really underappreciated invention, tbh.

000

See, sometimes people just respond to tone rather than details and veracity of information, lol.

000

They asked me if I was uncomfortable with something and I said yes, so they proceeded to not proceed with it. Why would they ask this? What sick mind would ask me questions like that?

It's weird whenever someone writes a call out post where they're describing someone who very clearly understands and acknowledges consent as some sort of predator, lol. Hate it.

Makes sense considering that's roughly when I stopped paying attention to her, lmao.

But what if he also kicked ass! It's funny how he's written in a way that double downs on both what gamers relate to and gamer power fantasies, lol.

Andrea @andreadollier.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

It's kind of funny how Leon Kennedy is like an awkward introvert at heart, who gets along with women but fumbles anything romantic. Capcom really knew their audience, lol.
