in the first season it is still finding its feet but it soars from s2 onwards. beyond an astute study of mental illness it is also a majestic observation on the human condition, loneliness, responsibility, friendship, family, legacy, trauma. and it knows exactly what to do with a background gag.

it hurts, but for me in a deeply healing way. it's dark af, and it's hilarious. it is an all-timer, unparalleled television. it speaks to my soul as a person who struggles with mental health. it never shies away from reality even when it's extremely hard to look at, but it never feels voyeuristic

and tbh the last half centimetre of the block is always rough and wonky as shit because every wobble in the line you're cutting compounds as you go (because u end up using the cut edge as a guide not the ruler), but usually it's minimal enough to be fixed by a violent attack of sandpaper 🙏

craft knife and a ruler babe 😭 if the block is thicker than the length of the blade it's impossible to get a clean cut (bc the plastic sheath bit hits the top of the book) so u have to open the block up or go in at an angle, and it inevitably turns into a total dogshit mess ☠️
