🍏 It's impossible to miss our native Crab Apple this time of year. You don't even have to look up but rather at their feet. Sharing an abundance of apples for all creatures great and small. Including humans - once extracted, these trees are quite easy to grow from seed. Give it a go this year!

Ireland’s performance on #climate mitigation is the worst in Europe and will still be the worst in 2030. In this infographic that’s measured by the size of the gap between the left of the green bar graph (cuts achieved) and the blue dot (2030 goal).

University of Exeter philosopher Edward

One fun History of Logical Positivism fact is that A.J. Ayer played a non-trivial role in mid 20th century gay rights legislation in the UK. His self-description on this always amuses me. In any case, they were a big part of the process which went from the Wolfenden Report to decriminalisation!
Ayer was known for his advocacy of humanism, and was the second president of the (then) British Humanist Association 1965-1970.[5] He was also president of the Homosexual Law Reform Society for a time; remarking that "as a notorious heterosexual I could never be accused of feathering my own nest."

Judging by its Budget 2027 choices, it appears this government sees animal welfare as some kind of game.
