there's a professional wall of silence around magic, so they'll never tell you how they did the trick (cuz that ruins the magic), but if someone claims to, say, bend spoons with their mind, magicians will say "well, if he's using telekenis, he's doing it the hard way."

(blanket statement) Magicians often despise anyone who tries to pass off illusion as truth -- magic performance crosses into immorality when the magician starts claiming it's "real." At that point, performing magic (illusion) becomes running a con. 3 card monty uses sleight of hand & is a con job.

It turns out that magicians are great at spotting a con artists and exposing their tricks, where a lot of well-educated folks are just total suckers, but believe they’re too smart to get swindled. AI hype operates like one of those old time scams, which is part of why we’re in this shitshow today.

It is okay to start over. Not only is it okay, it's a necessary part of recovery. We're going to have sh*t days, where the only thing to do is hit "reset" & try again. It doesn't mean we're f*cked or a failure. Our "best" is going to look different day to day. Easy does it.

A big part of what working our trauma recovery can clarify is that the default goals & values handed to us by our family or culture may have zero to do w/ us-- & a radical change, either in persona, or location, or career, or whatever, is very necessary for us to move forward.

Realistic trauma recovery requires us to raise our standards, especially for who gets access to our head & heart. Trauma conditioning has us convinced we "have" to let just anybody in to sh*t in our psyche. Recovery has us raising the price of admission-- & it's glorious.

Survivors working their trauma recovery have had to think about more philosophy, more psychology, & more physiology than most normies will in a lifetime-- & that can create a conversational disconnect that can feel awkward & surreal. Caterpillars don't speak butterfly.

Multiplying your wealth by 30x, powerful manifestation, and severing ties with toxic people. Only a tiny fraction of Japanese people actually know this. The correct method isn’t shared anywhere on social media. Revealing this method puts my own safety at risk. @christnedaae …this post raises a significant amount of red flags. Why on earth is your safety, supposedly as a Buddhist monk, “at risk” here? If the knowledge is genuinely dangerous for you to reveal, why even announce its existence to a global, public audience while also encouraging people to engage with the post?$

This is a drawing from OP's dnd game, albeit a very loose depiction of the trials the character, Freyja underwent. She drank poison laced with the raw power of the Stone Drake, and in doing so severely shortened her lifespan but gained immense power after passing the trials.
