Thrilled to have been awarded a BBSRC Fellowship! 🎉 An exciting new chapter, continuing in the @carter-lab.bsky.social at @mrclmb.ac.uk – studying how molecular motor function is rewired during cell division. Hugely grateful to Andrew for his support and mentorship 👇 www.ukri.org/news/bbsrc-i...

New preprint! We asked a simple question: How do very different activating adaptors all activate dynein? Turns out: same architecture, wildly different implementations 🧵👇 doi.org/10.64898/202...

Today in #journalclub - An isoform of my favourite mitotic adaptor Spindly is repurposed to regulate lipid droplet localisation in interphase. Worth a look 👇 advanced.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/...

New: Colombo et al. @surreylab.bsky.social show that NuMA is a mitotic dynein adaptor that binds and caps microtubule minus ends, explaining how dynein, NuMA, dynactin, and Lis1 focus microtubule minus ends at mitotic spindle poles buff.ly/41aj9F9

Excited to share the first published paper of my postdoc - a collaboration with Yildiz and Dumont groups led by Merve Aslan, on the fascinating dynein adaptor NuMA. Lots of super cool insights on how NuMA can activate dynein during mitosis. Thanks to @carter-lab.bsky.social for the support!
