“Day 2, October 8, 11:30 - 12:30
Arctic disinformation: narratives, infrastructure, and the blurring lines of influence operations
#investigation
room: Beta 2

Presentations
At the crossroads of multiple geopolitical influence, the Arctic region is also becoming a confrontational information space. This panel examines disinformation in the Arctic as a case study in evolving influence operations, drawing on original research into Russia's coordinated messaging around the Northern Sea Route, cross-border narrative amplification into Danish and Greenlandic information ecosystems, and whether these operations are designed to shape Al language models as much as human audiences.

The session closes with a more provocative discussion: growing evidence that the United States has, in specific Arctic contexts, operated as a FIMI actor.

Speakers:
Telli Karacan, Analyse & Tal Jonathan Guiffard, Cassini Conseil Ben Shultz, The American Sunlight Project”

And so the kids at the back of the class get just how impossible, the oligarchs have taken it to the place of enmity. The more we realize they are at war with all the principles that go into responsible governance, the easier we can peer more clearly through the chaos of our times.

“
The Enemy

We have enemies.

Our enemies are not bad people - but rather bad ideas.

Our present society has been subjected to a mass demoralization campaign for six decades - against technology and against life - under varying names like "existential risk", "sustainability", "ESG", "Sustainable Development Goals", "social responsibility", "stakeholder capitalism", "Precautionary Principle", "trust and safety", "tech ethics", "risk management", "de-growth", "the limits of growth"
