Serious question. Is the Pokey Little Puppy’s mother a human or a dog? @trailerjones.bsky.social and I have a bet…

I loved reading @rmaxgibson.bsky.social ‘s new fairytales! A beautiful modern addition to the fairytale tradition.

Why are soup commercials so inexpensive to make? They use a lot of stock footage.

Your work as an artist isn’t to become the “best.” Release the concepts of achievement and competition. Rather your quest is to explore the furthest extension of your range of expression. Find the edges and discover what’s there. #art

My family has been through some stuff… and we’ve talked a lot about how much our support system (friends and family) helped us. Over the years it’s developed and I’m so proud of my hubby for launching his new Substack where he shares what we’ve learned, and are still learning, about helping friends.

"How could you say that you did not know who he was?" L.A. Mayor Karen Bass speaks out on the forced removal of California Sen. Alex Padilla from a DHS press conference. DHS claimed the senator "interrupted a live press conference without identifying himself."

The Trump Administration's forcible removal of Senator Padilla today is un-American and unacceptable. Our elected officials have a right — and a duty — to conduct oversight of President Trump's abuses of power. As much as the administration wants to silence dissent, we the people won't back down.

Extra proud of this narration, and the book itself is topical, gripping, and moving. You can get a free download of Buzz Kill by signing up for @jrobertlennon.com 's newsletter (if there are any codes left). #audiobooks

LA parents: your kids are probably feeling stress from the fires. My kid asks me about what a “perimeter” is & knows the names of the fires. A random kid told me that if I was checking the Watch Duty map, that there are “no new fires.” Stress manifests in them differently. Extra hugs needed.

A canceled flight, delays, our connecting plane broke down, but still we managed to get home. After hours of waiting w/ strangers, I noticed goodwill & gratitude prevailed among the passengers. We all “earned” the right to be grumpy, but even through exhaustion, chose kindness. #holidaytravel

Travel reminder! Companion restrooms may seem like a great place for a quiet poo, but they’re for people who need a companion or extra space for a mobility device. Just because you don’t see anyone using it when you snag it, doesn’t mean you aren’t depriving someone of a needed facility. Thanks!

Started recording the sequel to “Hard Girls” yesterday, “Buzz Kill” (link below), by J Robert Lennon, and it’s coming along beautifully. Proud of the narration and characters, love revisiting the Pool sisters. If spy novels with deep relationships are your thing, be sure to check out this series.

Here's your daily reminder that bookstores keep the love of reading alive — but they also keep neighborhoods beautiful. They are places to gather, to celebrate stories, to find community. Please do your holiday shopping at your local independent bookstore, if you are lucky enough to still have one.

Throughout history, passing stories from person to person has been the way we’ve built our collective stores of knowledge, wisdom, and myth. I believe audiobooks are part of that… the methods for sharing the stories changes, but as long as the stories are being told…

When I was 19 and had just moved to LA to start my career, I wish someone had told me how much grace I had to make mistakes. I was consumed with pursuing my career perfectly, and without stepping on toes or getting it “wrong.” I wonder… I bet we still get that grace now. Don’t you?
