@guycurtis10.bsky.social at #herdsa2025 sharing 20 yr longitudinal study on prevalence of #plagiarism in Australian HE. Most forms of plagiarism are trending downward, student understanding of what is plagiarism is up and they know it is serious. Aligned with ⬆️ mandatory education and training.

Collins Fleischner at #herdsa2025 sharing work on the Education Focused roles in HE. The literature shows we are overworked and face role clarity challenges, but no evidence that EFs are overall better teachers, improve educational quality.

💯 with this from Rowena Harper at #herdsa2025 keynote. If a student doesn’t meet a learning outcome for the degree - should they pass? We also need to invest in systems (people and tech) to track this, and allow students to evaluate their own progress.

I swear that the #ConcurAuditor makes claiming your expenses so hard that you just give up and pay for them yourself (& as a former auditor - I’d like to think I’m fairly detail-oriented, I know the process, understand the rules etc). I guess that’s one way for universities to save funds 🤷‍♀️
